“I am writing to express my appreciation at the service I received back in April and the continuing service I still receive today.
In April/May this year the company I worked for decided to have an office refurbishment and as such I agreed to undertake the responsibility to manage the project. Decorating and carpeting was the easy part, but achieving the right look for the company without affecting the business was more difficult. I began looking though furniture catalogues and calling companies. Then I was searching the internet and came across Smiths. What appealed to me was that they were local to both my home and office and they had the added advantage of having a showroom that I could visit, which no other companies I came across had.
I had established in my mind what sort of furniture I wanted but actually to be able to see it and sit on it made the selection process so much easier.
On my first visit to the showroom I was made to feel extremely welcome and at ease by Gary Smith and he took plenty of time to listen to what my needs were and the look I was trying to achieve.
After that first visit I had a pretty good idea of what I now wanted but to ensure that it would fit in the office a site visit was arranged.
The order was placed and arrived 4 weeks ahead of schedule, Gary kept me informed every step of the way. On the day of delivery the delivery team arrived promptly and worked quickly and efficiently to ensure the disruption to our working day was kept to a minimum.They communicated well with us to ensure that everything was just where we wanted it and so we had to do no lifting of any sort .
They removed all our old desks and cabinets and disposed of them for us too.
At the end of the day once everyone was seated at their new desks I waited anxiously for their verdict and to my relief it was a complete success. I can’t wait to undertake another refurbishment of one of our other offices now.
Since then I have kept in constant contact with Gary and has constantly remained friendly, efficient and reliable
It is certainly something we as a company would do again and Smiths will certainly be our first point of call for furniture in the future.
In summary my dealings with Smiths Office Furniture since April 2004 has been nothing but first rate and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone, in fact I already have to long standing friend who is also undertaking a refurbishment of her company.”
